Issues with the Roku remote & its Solution

While all Roku goods come with a very simple IR remote, the Premiere+ and Ultra device also include"point anywhere" Wi-Fi remotes. As often happens with new devices, you may have some difficulty getting the remote to link, or have difficulties with the connection dropping.

Prior to any troubleshooting, a pair of fresh batteries is definitely recommended.

If you discover the link to fall frequently, consider clearing the setting and re-pairing the remote again. First, unplug the Roku participant, and then remove the battery compartment in the remote. Press and hold the A and B buttons, or the House and Down buttons, based on the remote, and then press the matching button (from the battery compartment), while still holding the first two buttons. There will be three more LED flashes, which indicates the remote pairing has been cleared. Now reconnect the player, set the remote into pairing mode by pressing the pairing button, and you'll observe the pairing message on the screen once the player reboots completely.

Heavy congestion of wireless networks in your area, like in a residential area, may be causing some interference as well. Locate a station that is traffic free, by using a program like Wi-Fi Analyzer (should you've got an Android apparatus ) that may be downloaded in the Google Play Store. Channels 1,6, or 11 are recommended, as they have no overlapping frequencies. Check the user guide of your Wi-Fi router to find out how to change the station.1

The Roku Stick includes a routine IR remote which requires line of sight to work. However, the Stick plugs to the HDMI port that's occasionally on the rear of the TV, which might cause problems when using the remote.
